Tonight was our first time and definitely will not be our last. Every dish was delicious! The best Carpaccio I’ve ever had. The ribeye we ordered Medium and it was so juicy and full of flavor! Both noodle dishes were fantastic and the squash was a side we ordered that was as tasty as the mains.

Cardellino is such a vibe! The atmosphere is absolutely 10/10—cozy, chic, and perfect for a night out. The cocktails were spot-on, crafted perfectly, and the burrata appetizer was a total hit—creamy, fresh, and delicious. While the carbonara didn’t quite live up to my expectations, the overall experience more than made up for it. The service was attentive, the ambiance was unbeatable, and I’d absolutely come back for the drinks and apps alone. A must-visit spot in San Diego for a great night out!

Food and service was phenomenal. Tony if I remember correctly was our server. Great service. Lamb chops were pristine. The chicken i would not reorder but it was good to try. The 22 oz bone in was perfect. The meatballs were perfect. The spicy rigatoni was ok but we had ordered so much food not realizing portions were so big. It was a pleasurable experience for a birthday. And the tiramisu and coffee ice cream was sooo good

Came here Saturday around noon with a reservation for 4, but wasn't very crowded so I don't think we needed one. We sat outside - they have heaters and umbrellas and we saw other people with a dog! We would have brought our pup had we known it was dog friendly. The cinnamon roll stood out! We weren't expecting it to be so big and with ice cream - really good treat. For the fried chicken & French toast, the French toast was the better part. The fried chicken was a bit overdone but some people like it that way. The bacon, eggs, and potatoes were good too. The spicy rigatoni was had really good flavor, but it's pretty expensive for the portion you get. Their sangrias were also good, but sweeter than expected. Overall the service and food were pretty good and we'd like to come back to try more of their Italian dishes since we've been looking for good Italian food in SD.

My wife and I have been here 6 times. It’s our favorite place in SD. Great atmosphere. Great service. Terrific food. I’ve had the ribeye 4 times, it’s always consistently perfect. I would happily pay 30 more than what they charge for the ribeye. The spicy rigatoni is phenomenal. The branzino is outstanding. We usually get out for around 220ish with drinks, apps and entrees and each time I feel like it’s still greet value. It’s just that good!

I’ve been to Cardellinos 4 times now. I finally decided to write a review and I’m glad I waited, as I’ve been able to take note of the consistency of quality and service. I’m not thrilled about them switching over to a chophouse, but regardless they still deliver. I’m pretty upset about them removing pizza and Mr. Trustee’s spumoni ice cream from the menu. There’s no where else in San Diego you can get spumoni that tastes so heavenly. Please bring it back. And the pizzas. Every visit to Cardellinos we’ve had excellent service. Last night Christina was our server and she was on top of it. The food has depth and flavor and everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing. The shrimp tagliatelle was literally the best shrimp I’ve ever had- buttery, tender, and practically melted in our mouths. All of the pastas are homemade and absolutely delectable. The Sunday Supper Spaghetti will send you to the moon. The sourdough bread is quite pricey for the small round but you’ll be floating on clouds. Thank you Cardellinos for never disappointing. It’s rare these days (especially post-COVID) to have a gastronomical experience that blows you away.

Great new Italian chophouse in SD! High quality food in a quiet atmosphere. Had the bone in NY which was excellent. The spicy rigatoni and don’t sleep on the star of the evening......the eggplant parm lasagna! Prices were extremely reasonable for a high end dinner.... we will be back!

We didn’t have a reservation, lucky they were able to seat the 4 of us on high tables with just a 5 minute wait. Carter is a great server, very energetic, engaging and gave great recommendations. We shared starters and had a main dish each. The eggplant was amazing! Smokey and delicious, I would say a little more bread with the dip would have been appreciated. The lamb lollipops were incredible and the sausage with the grapes was great! Although it was good, I wouldn’t order the caprese again. The pasta was delicious and the portion sizes are great! We had both the Bolognese (great amount of meat and cheese) and the spicy rigatoni (not very spicy) The cocktails were very tasty too! I thought it was a shame that there was no pizza/focaccia or flat breads on the menu.
